Underdog Fantasy - UI Enhancements
In this redesign, I prioritized creating a well-organized and visually balanced interface that enhances the overall user experience through thoughtful use of color, spacing, and hierarchy.
Balanced Use of Color:
Color was used intentionally to guide users' attention and create visual contrast without overwhelming the interface. Subtle highlights like red, green, and blue help differentiate between draft options and actions, ensuring key information stands out while maintaining a cohesive and harmonious design.
Optimized Spacing for Clarity:
Strategic use of white space plays a critical role in the UI, giving the content room to breathe and preventing any sense of clutter. This ensures that the interface remains easy to scan, allowing users to quickly absorb information without feeling overwhelmed.
Improved Visual Hierarchy:
I implemented a clear visual hierarchy that directs users’ attention to the most important elements on each screen. Headline drafts are visually prioritized, with supporting information like entry fees, participant numbers, and prize pools clearly organized beneath. This structured approach ensures that users can make informed decisions quickly and confidently.
Organized Layout for Efficient Navigation:
The overall layout of the app was restructured to create a more intuitive flow. From the sports category filters at the top to the bottom navigation bar, each element is positioned for logical progression, making it easy for users to find what they need without unnecessary steps.
By focusing on the interplay between color, space, and hierarchy, I was able to create a UI that not only looks clean and modern but also enhances the user’s ability to navigate, engage, and interact with the app effortlessly.
